Sri Ramachandra Vijayotsava

Today is a very super-excellent auspicious day as it is Vijaya-dashami, Vijaya Mahotsava (Sri Ramachandra Vijayotsava). And also today is our Sampradaya’s acharya, Madhvacharya’s appearance day or avirbhava tithi

Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu did not manifest any sampradaya of His own. In Padma Purana, there are four sampradayas mentioned:

sampradāya vihīnā ye mantrās te niṣphalā matāḥ

ataḥ kalau bhaviṣyanti catvāraḥ sampradāyinaḥ

śrī-brahma-rudra-sanakā vaiṣṇavā kṣiti-pāvanā

[Unless you are initiated by a bona fide spiritual master in the four recognised disciplic successions (The Sri Sampradaya, the Brahma Sampradaya, the Rudra Sampradaya and the Kumara Sampradaya), your mantra or initiation is useless.]

This means, whomever you receive nama or diksha from, has to belong to one of these four sampradayas. Sri Sampradaya’s foremost acharya is Lakshmi-devi and in this Kali-yuga, Ramanujacharya is the acharya of Sri Sampradaya. Brahma Sampradaya’s original acharya is Brahmaji and in this age of Kali, the acharya is Madhvacharya.

Rudra Sampradaya’s original acharya is Lord Shivaji, and in this Kali-yuga, the acharya is known as Vishnuswami. Sanaka Sampradaya’s original acharya are the four Kumaras: Sanaka, Sanandana, Sanatana and Sanata Kumara. In this time, the acharya is Nimbaditya. In this way, our scriptures very clearly explain that one has to receive nama and diksha from a guru who belongs to one of these four sampradayas, otherwise you will not attain any fruits from your practice.

Thus, today is the very auspicious appearance day of Madhvacharya, who, as mentioned, is our sampradaya’s acharya. Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, who Himself is Bhagavan, did not create any new sampradayas. Instead, He accepted Madhva Sampradaya as they contain two philosophical aspects which are very important— tattva-siddhanta and rasa-siddhanta. In our Madhva Sampradaya, Madhavacharya especially manifested the conception of dualism, dvaitavada, and he also clearly explained the difference between Brahma and the jivas. With regards to rasa-siddhanta, Madhvacharya manifested the Gopala deity, who holds a churning stick in His hand. One of Madhvacharya’s most important contributions was his manifestation of gopi-bhava. For these reasons, Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu accepted Madhva Sampradaya and our sampradaya is now known as Sri Brahma Madhva Gaudiya Sampradaya.

Now, today is a very super-excellent and auspicious day because it is also Vijaya-dashami. Or known as Dashami tithi, which means ten days from the new moon. Every year, four days are very important. On these days, anything performed will be considered auspicious— this can even be done without the need to consult an astrologer such as acts of karma-kanda. Many things can be done, like a marriage ceremony, vivaha. If married on this day, there is no real need to see an astrologer or compare your astrology charts by looking at the moon. On this auspicious day, you can also establish temple deities, you can buy or sell your property. Any kinds of auspicious acts can be performed today, like receiving diksha-mantras

As mentioned, every year, there are four days that are very important. And today is one of those days, known as Vijaya-dashami. Next, comes Rama-navami, the appearance day of Lord Ramachandra. After, comes Vasanta-panchami, then finally, Akshaya-tritiya. These days are very important. Understand? Akshaya-tritiya, Vijaya-dashami, Vasantha-panchami and Rama-navami.

Today in India, especially in Bengal, there is a grand festival, Durga Puja Mahotsava. People worship the goddess Durga, and it is the last day of the celebration. They arrange for very nice beautiful decorations of Durga, showing the goddess when she killed the demon Mahishasura. In her ten hands, she holds many kinds of weapons, and she sits on the back of the lion. She also appears with her sons and daughters: Ganesha, Lakshmi, Sarasvati and Kartika. Kartika sits on the back of the peacock, Ganesha sits on the back of the mouse, Lakshmi-devi is seated on the back of an owl, and Sarasvati, the goddess of knowledge, is on the back of a swan. Such nice and beautiful deities.

Six days from the new moon is called Shashti and when it is ten days from the new moon, the puja and worship finishes, and then they put on a nice fireworks display to end the celebration. Some of you may have seen pictures of this. Also, if you visit Uttar Pradesh in North India, you see that in Delhi and other places, for nine consecutive days, they worship the goddess Durga, and today, on the last day, they burn Ravana—this is called Ravana Dahana. Worshippers construct a very long deity or murti called Ravana asura. And afterwards, they place it on a fire. In Delhi, very near our Janakpuri temple, in Ramlila Maidan, they are also doing this. On this day, a murti of Ravana is burnt. In fact, Ravana is present in our heart. This is a very important thing. Anger, lust and the like are the qualities of Ravana. We have to put them on fire by doing nama-sankirtana. Unless we do that, we cannot attain bhakti. Where will it come from in our heart? If people do something, there must be some meaning behind it. And what is the meaning of burning Ravana? It is the burning of the demonic nature that resides in our heart and destroys us. The way this nature manifests itself is that we either enjoy or pretend to be God, forgetting that we are actually servants of God.

Presently, some are thinking, “Today, Lord Ramachandra killed Ravana.” Except, according to the Ramayana, this is not actually true. Lord Ramachandra was born during Rama-navami, Navami tithi. And He married within nine days of the new moon, Navami tithi. On this ninth day from the moon, Lord Rama was also exiled to the forest with His wife Sita-devi and His brother. Then, He promised Bharata that He would return after fourteen years. So, He was to return on this day, Navami tithi.

If Ramachandra had killed Ravana today, then... First, we must ask: Why did He kill the demon? Because Ravana kidnapped Sita. In response, Ramachandra attacked Lanka Puri with His army of monkeys. After killing Ravana and proclaiming victory to Lanka, the Lord gave the simhasana to Ravana’s brother Vibhishana.

So, according to the mathematical calculations, if Ramachandra killed Ravana today and celebrated victory in Lanka, when would He return to Ayodhya?

Actually, Lord Ramachandra arrived in Ayodhya on Navami tithi— the same Navami as His appearance. If this takes place during October, and Rama-navami is usually in April— how do you account for those four to five months? And where did Lord Ramachandra stay throughout that time? For this reason, our acharyas explain that this is just a misconception by people who think that on this day, Ramachandra conquered Lanka and killed Ravana. Actually today, Ramachandra only proceeded to Lanka with His army of monkeys. Why is this day called Vijaya? Because the Lord conquered the demon Ravana. Anyhow, some people burn the deities of Ravana because he was an asura, and he kidnapped Sita-devi. He also disturbed so many others.

Except nowadays, many people glorify Ravana. They like him because he is a very powerful personality. Yet, if Ravana were to kidnap their wife and/or daughters— would they still glorify him? Sometimes I jokingly say, “Okay, you glorify Ravana, this is good. Now, Ravana will have to kidnap your wives and daughters, then you will be very happy.”

Actually, it is true that Ravana had many good qualifications— he was even born in a high-class brahmana family. Ravana was not an ordinary person. Who are Ravana and his brother Kumbhakarna really? In our Srimad-Bhagavatam it is explained that they are Jaya and Vijaya—the gate-keepers or security guards of Vaikuntha. Once, they received a curse from the four Kumaras. Because of this curse, they both had to take three births as demons.

During their first birth in Satya-yuga, Jaya and Vijaya became Hiranyakshya and Hiranyakashipu. And the Lord Himself manifested in the form of Varahadeva Bhagavan and Lord Nrisimhadeva, respectively. During Treta-yuga, in their second births, Jaya and Vijaya appeared in the form of Ravana and Kumbhakarna. In that same yuga, the Lord manifested in the form of Ramachandra. And in Dvapara-yuga, during the third birth, the Lord manifested in the form of Krishna, and Jaya and Vijaya took birth in the demon forms of Shishupala and Dantavakra. Then, Krishna delivered Shishupala and Dantavakra. Thus, in this way and for this reason, these lilas are taking place.

Rama-lila is very sweet. As just explained, Ravana was born in a high-class brahmana family. Despite this, he associated with demons, and because of this, his nature became demonic. He performed many kinds of sinful activities and also attained many kinds of mystic powers. He decided to love and worship Lord Shiva, and in the process, he became very powerful, leading to his conquering the entire universe— even the heavenly planets. His own son, Indrajit, defeated Indra and was given the name Meghanada.

Ravana performed many hard austerities while also worshipping Brahmaji. After being pleased with his austerities, Brahma told him to ask for a benediction. Ravana said, “Give me immortality.” However, Brahmaji answered, “This is not possible. One who takes birth, must die.”

We can see that Ravana had many qualifications, like Ravana-stuti, Ravana had a vast knowledge of Sanskrit. He also wrote one book, I forget the name. And he always glorified Lord Shiva. But, what was his one bad qualification? He had so much false ego. There were so many qualifications in Ravana, but one bad qualification destroyed all of his good qualifications. There is a saying in English, “If you lose your wealth, you have lost nothing; if you lose your health, you have lost something; but if you lose your character, you have lost everything.” If your character is not good and you have many good, material qualifications, all other qualifications are useless.

Try to understand that if you have many qualifications, everyone will glorify you. This is true. However, when you do not have a good character everybody looks down on you. For this reason, we have never seen an Indian name their sons or daughters Ravana. If you go to India, ask anyone, “Do your sons or daughters have the name Ravana?” No one names their children Ravana because he was an asura. And why was he an asura? Because of his bad character.

He even kidnapped Sita, the consort of Lord Ramachandra. And he conquered the three worlds, this is true. As mentioned, he had many good qualifications, but one bad qualification destroyed everything. Srimad-Bhagavatam gives us evidence that if you worship Thakuraji with a big pitcher of Ganges water, yet someone happens to put just one drop of alcohol, that water of the Ganges is now unusable in the worship of Thakuraji. Only one drop of alcohol in an entire pitcher of Ganges water makes it useless for worshipping Thakuraji.

What does this mean? You may have so many good qualifications, yet one bad qualification destroys all of your good qualities. Until you give up your body, everybody will criticise you and call you a stupid nonsense rascal. Try to understand this. Which character is good? When someone is highly qualified, everyone will worship him. One should try to build a good character. What was one of Ravana’s bad characteristics? He disturbed women because he was a lusty person. For this reason, no one worshipped him. Just look, when you analyse Ravana, he had so many qualifications, but only one bad qualification— lusty desires. And because of this, no one ever worshipped him. This is why our shastras say that you have to build your good character. Even if you practice bhajana and sadhana and lead a spiritual life, you still have to build your good character. If you do not have a good character, everyone will look down on you. Is this true or not?

In the first verse of Upadeshamrita Srila Rupa Gosvami explains that everybody has to control the six urges of the senses.

vāco vegaṁ manasaḥ krodha-vegaṁ

jihvā-vegam udaropastha-vegam

etān vegān yo viṣaheta dhīraḥ

sarvām apīmāṁ pṛthivīṁ sa śiṣyāt

Upadeshamrita (1)

[A sober person who can tolerate the urge to speak, the mind’s demands, the actions of anger and the urges of the tongue, belly and genitals is qualified to make disciples all over the world.]

Srila Rupa Gosvami states that you first have to control your lust and anger. This is very important as lust and anger can destroy everything. Lust can destroy your entire life and anger can also destroy everything, just as fire destroys everything. Anger is like fire; fire burns everything and transforms it to ashes. So, everyone has to control two things, lust and anger. Whether you are a devotee or a non-devotee, everyone has to control their lust and anger.

śrī-bhagavān uvāca

kāma eṣa krodha eṣa

rajo-guṇa-samudbhavaḥ

mahāśano mahā-pāpmā

viddhy enam iha vairiṇam

Bhagavad-gita (3.37)

[The Supreme Personality of Godhead said: It is lust only, Arjuna, which is born of contact with the material mode of passion and later transformed into wrath, and which is the all-devouring sinful enemy of this world.]

Why does lust and anger arise? From the influence of maya’s rajo-guna and tamo-guna. And where is tamo-guna coming from? From bad association. Do you understand? It comes from associating with bad people, and remembering bad people. Remembering and thinking of the opposite sex, then rajo-guna and tamo-guna come and, after, lust and anger arise. Also,  control the urges of your stomach.

āhāra-śuddhau sattva-śuddhiḥ

sattva-śuddhau dhruvā smṛtiḥ

smṛti-lambhe sarva-granthīnāṁ vipra-mokṣaḥ

Chandogya Upanishad (7.26.2)

[By eating sanctified foodstuffs one’s very existence becomes purified; by the purification of existence finer tissues in the memory become sanctified, and when memory is sanctified one can think of the path of liberation.]

First, control the food you eat. If you eat tamasic food then tamo-gunas will come and lust and anger will follow. The kinds of foods you eat determine your type of conception, vichara. Is this true or not? Everything depends on the type of food you eat and also on the association you keep. Associating with a bad person does not even have to be physical, even if done only in your mind, your mind will become disturbed just by thinking of that person. Thus, you have to control your mind.

Why am I saying this? Because Ravana always associated with bad people. Then, he began eating meat, fish, consuming alcohol and doing many other bad things, leading his mind to become very disturbed. And so many lusty desires began to arise; he even started to disturb ladies. Then finally, he committed an even greater offence— he kidnapped Sita-devi. And for this offence, Lord Ramachandra killed him. Ravana had vast amounts of property, wealth, money, he possessed everything. His kingdom was called the Golden kingdom, Suvarna Lanka and his wife was a chaste lady named Mandodari. He also had a wealth of knowledge or jnana, but none of this knowledge could protect him.

However, if bhakti manifests in your heart, then bhakti can protect you. Knowledge cannot protect you. We do not glorify those in our shastras who only have a vast wealth of knowledge. This is why Brahma says:

jñāne prayāsam udapāsya namanta eva

jīvanti san-mukharitāṁ bhavadīya-vārtām

sthāne sthitāḥ śruti-gatāṁ tanu-vāṅ-manobhir

ye prāyaśo ’jita jito ’py asi tais tri-lokyām

Srimad-Bhagavatam (10.14.3)

[Those who, even while remaining situated in their established social positions, throw away the process of speculative knowledge and with their body, words and mind offer all respects to descriptions of Your personality and activities, dedicating their lives to these narrations, which are vibrated by You personally and by Your pure devotees, certainly conquer Your Lordship, although You are otherwise unconquerable by anyone within the three worlds.]

Give up the endless pursuit to acquire the knowledge, as jnanis will fall down. However, those who are devotees of the Lord will not fall down, because the Lord has so much love and affection with His devotees. Even in Srimad Bhagavad-gita Krishna says:

api cet su-durācāro

bhajate mām ananya-bhāk

sādhur eva sa mantavyaḥ

samyag vyavasito hi saḥ

 Bhagavad-gita (9.30)

[Even if one commits the most abominable action, if he is engaged in devotional service he is to be considered saintly because he is properly situated in his determination.]

Krishna says, “If My devotee is one-pointed with Me, even if his feet slip a little bit, I will purify his heart. Arjuna, hear this vow, one who is My devotee, he is sadhu.” Who is sadhu? A person who is one-pointed with Krishna, this is called Krishna aikantika-bhakta

kṣipraṁ bhavati dharmātmā

śaśvac-chāntiṁ nigacchati

kaunteya pratijānīhi

na me bhaktaḥ praṇaśyati

Bhagavad-gita (9.31)

[He quickly becomes righteous and attains lasting peace. O son of Kuntī, declare it boldly that My devotee never perishes.]

Krishna has so much love and affection with his devotees:

yat-pāda-paṅkaja-palāśa-vilāsa-bhaktyā

karmāśayaṁ grathitam udgrathayanti santaḥ

tadvan na rikta-matayo yatayo ’pi ruddha-

sroto-gaṇās tam araṇaṁ bhaja vāsudevam

Srimad-Bhagavatam (4.22.39)

[The devotees, who are always engaged in the service of the toes of the lotus feet of the Lord, can very easily overcome hard-knotted desires for fruitive activities. Because this is very difficult, the non-devotees— the jñānīs and yogīs— although trying to stop the waves of sense gratification, cannot do so. Therefore you are advised to engage in the devotional service of Kṛṣṇa, the son of Vasudeva.]

Bhagavad-gita states that when devotees fall down, Krishna will place them back on His own lap. This means that the Lord has so much prema, love and affection, towards His devotees. The Lord does not have so much vatsalya with the jnanis. Why? Because jnanis want to independently grow up for themselves, svatantra. But a devotee is completely surrendered to the Lord. This is the difference.

There are so many glorifications about devotees of the Lord in our shastras. Perhaps, a question will arise. As devotees, will you not acquire knowledge? Yes, you will acquire knowledge, but recalling that knowledge alone cannot protect you. With only your knowledge, you cannot be protected from maya. Knowledge means jnana, and jnana is called purusha-abhimana— false, male egos. And bhakti consists of female abhimana. Try to understand this conception.

According to our shastras, males are attracted to females and females are attracted to males. The opposite sex is attracted to each other. And maya always pulls down jnanis because maya is female and jnani is considered male— maya will automatically pull jnanis down. Since bhakti is a female and maya is also female, Maya-devi will not approach those who are devotees of the Lord. Our shastras state that Maya-devi stays very far from wherever Bhakti-devi is. Maya-devi never comes in front of Bhakti-devi.

Actually, Bhakti-devi is the internal potency of Krishna, His svarupa-shakti. And Maya-devi is the external potency of Lord. Do you understand this philosophy? What is Bhakti-devi? Devotional service to God. Who is Bhakti-devi? The internal potency of Krishna. And Maya-devi is the external potency of Krishna, Krishna’s bahiranga-shakti. Thus, Bhakti-devi is the Lord’s antaranga-shakti, the internal potency of Krishna. And for this reason, maya is always far from bhakti. Chaitanya-charitamrita explains:

kṛṣṇa — sūrya-sama; māyā haya andhakāra

yāhāṅ kṛṣṇa, tāhāṅ nāhi māyāra adhikāra

Chaitanya-charitamrita (Madhya-lila 22.31)

[Kṛṣṇa is compared to sunshine, and māyā is compared to darkness. Wherever there is sunshine, there cannot be darkness. As soon as one takes to Kṛṣṇa consciousness, the darkness of illusion (the influence of the external energy) will immediately vanish.]

Wherever Krishna is, Bhakti-devi will be, and Maya-devi will not come there. Maya-devi will pay her pranamas to Bhakti-devi from far away. Maya is like darkness, and bhakti is like a blazing sun. Maya-devi is full of darkness, and where there is a full blaze of light, there can be no darkness. Just look at this room, it is completely full of light, therefore there is no darkness anywhere.

In the same way, it is mentioned, ‘maya andhakara’, here maya means darkness and bhakti is full of blazing light. It is also said that Krishna is like a blazing sun and maya is full of darkness. Darkness remains far from wherever the sun’s rays are. So, when bhakti manifests in one’s heart, maya can no longer come.

You may ask how it could be possible for Maya-devi to cause a devotee of the Lord to fall down? As explained earlier, jnanis only have jnana, and with knowledge alone, they cannot do anything. It is explained that jnana is similar to a ghee lamp— in the bottom of a ghee lamp there is darkness. Do you understand this comparison?

When you take a ghee lamp, the light illuminates the four directions, however the bottom is covered in darkness and shadow. And what does this mean? That you cannot control your lust and anger with only your knowledge. Many people have vast knowledge, jnana, but they are not following any rules and regulations. Like in the example I gave of Ravana, he had a wealth of knowledge. Ravana knew all Vedas, Puranas and Upanishads. He knew everything, but he could not control his lust and anger.

For this reason, he became a demon, asura. And why am I saying these things? Because the discussion here is comparing knowledge and devotion, jnana and bhakti. Okay, so if knowledge is like a ghee lamp, then, when a gust of wind simply blows, the ghee lamp becomes extinguished easily. And bhakti is like a glistening sapphire which illuminates all directions with its brilliance— everything is illuminated. Since bhakti is like the brilliant effulgence of a sapphire, even if a big storm appears, the sapphire’s brilliance will never be extinguished.

What does this mean? When lust and anger come, you will lose all your knowledge. All demons also have a vast amount of knowledge, but they cannot control their lust and anger. And due to this, they are known as demons. Why was Kamsa called a demon? He also had a wealth of knowledge, he knew all tattva-siddhanta, however he could not control his lust and anger.

In Madhurya-kadambini, Srila Vishvanatha Cakravartipada very nicely compared and explained the differences between knowledge and bhakti. Everyone has to control two things, lust and anger. Except, how will you control them? By regularly chanting the holy names:

Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare

Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare

By chanting the holy names more and more, you can gain control over your lust and anger. Also, remember to give up bad association, asat-sanga-tyaga

Ravana never gave up his bad association, he always stayed with bad people. Adversely, his younger brother, Vibhishana, always associated with devotees. These are the three brothers: Ravana, Kumbhakarna and Vibhishana, and they performed hard austerities to please Brahmaji. Afterwards, Ravana asked Brahmaji, “Give me immortality,” and Brahmaji said, “No, I cannot give this.” Brahma then said, “You can conquer everybody, except human beings and monkeys.” Then, Ravana began thinking, “Oh, human beings and monkeys are merely my food, this is not a problem.” Afterwards, Vibhishana asked,“Give me bhakti, so my whole life may be dedicated to the lotus feet of Ramachandra.” Next, Kumbhakarna asked Brahmaji to sit on the throne of Indra, Indrasana.

Except, Yogamaya manifested on his tongue as he spoke, and when Kumbhakarna asked for his benediction, he pronounced it differently. Rather than saying, “Indrasana,” he was forced to say, “Nidrasana.” Instead of saying Indra, he said nidra, and the Sanskrit word nidra means to sleep. This means he would have to sleep his entire life and never wake up. If one always sleeps, what is the meaning of their life? So, Ravana asked Brahmaji,“Oh If my brother spends his whole life sleeping, what will be the meaning of his life?”

Brahmaji replied, “Okay, he will sleep continuously for six months, and after six months, he will wake up for only one day. And on this day, he will spend it eating and eating and eating. After that, he will again sleep for six months. And if his body awakens before six months ends, it will be the cause of his death. For this reason, we sometimes joke with those who sleep too much. We tell them,“Oh, you are Kumbhakarna!” Some people can sleep for such a long time, even ten or fifteen hours!

While they sleep, they also snore, not allowing anyone else in the room to rest. If there is a Kumbhakarna in one room, no one else will be able to rest. Why am I mentioning this? Because this is also a demonic behaviour; demons cannot conquer lust, anger or sleepiness. You have to conquer sleep, one must not sleep too much or too little. If you sleep too much, you will lose all of your memory, then lust and anger will arise and from the inactivity, your body may become overweight. It is noticed that those who oversleep tend to be overweight, and those who sleep less tend to be skinny. An ideal body should not be too skinny nor too fat. So, who can we say actually conquered sleep? Lakshmana. Lakshmana did not sleep for fourteen years! Ramayana explains that during Lord Ramachandra’s fourteen year exile in the forest, Lakshmana did not sleep the entire time. For this reason, he killed Meghanada, or Indrajit. Another great personality who can be mentioned in a similar regard is Arjuna. One of Arjuna’s names is actually Gudakesha. And what does Gudakesha mean? One who has conquered sleep. Concluding, Ravana had vast knowledge, jnana, however knowledge is not enough. Nevertheless, our shastras state that if you acquire bhakti, you will automatically acquire jnana and vairagya, renunciation. Once bhakti manifests in one’s heart, jnana and vairagya automatically appear. In this regard, jnana refers to all kinds of transcendental knowledge manifesting in your heart and vairagya means that one becomes automatically detached from material sense gratification.

yasyāsti bhaktir bhagavaty akiñcanā

sarvair guṇais tatra samāsate surāḥ

harāv abhaktasya kuto mahad-guṇā

manorathenāsati dhāvato bahiḥ

Srimad-Bhagavatam (5.18.12)

[All the demigods and their exalted qualities, such as religion, knowledge and renunciation, become manifest in the body of one who has developed unalloyed devotion for the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Vasudeva. On the other hand, a person devoid of devotional service and engaged in material activities has no good qualities. Even if he is adept at the practice of mystic yoga or the honest endeavour of maintaining his family and relatives, he must be driven by his own mental speculations and must engage in the service of the Lord’s external energy. How can there be any good qualities in such a man?]

If you practise bhakti all good qualifications will manifest. Thus, practise bhakti: shuddha-bhakti. And how does one practise? Only through the association of a pure devotee of the Lord. By association with devotees of the Lord, not with mundane people. Try to understand that if only one rotten potato is placed in a big sack of potatoes, after two days, all the other potatoes become completely rotten. What is the meaning of this? Here, a rotten potato refers to bad association, asat-sanga. And what exactly is this bad association? Apart from unwanted interactions with mundane people, it is also what is going on inside your mind. Give up all the bad conceptions from your mind.
